（笑いの）つぼにはまる/hit my spot

To reply to yasuyo-san's comment in my previous post, I wanted to say "warai-no tubo-ni hamatta", which (well, roughly) means 'something was so funny that I cannot help keep laughing'.

What I came up with was 'to hit (perfectly) somebody's spot' -- which I saw in some TV drama -- after I looked up 'tubo' and 'hamaru' in the ALC's dictionary.

I also thought about 'hit somebody's button', but it sounded to me that means 'to talk about the topic you really shouldn't in front of this person(=somebody)'. So, I picked up the 'hit my spot'.

If you are familiar with this expression, please lecture me in the comment. Thanks!

だったんだけど、あってるのかな？　テレビのドラマかなんかで聞いたことがあるような気がするんだけど。。。

hit somebody's button

というのが近いかなと思ったんだけど、「ある人にとって触れてはいけない話題を触れてしまった」意味のほうが自分の中では強い気がしたので上の表現を使ってみました。

もし詳しい人がいたら教えてください。
