think aloud / 独り言を言う
Oh, I see. This means 'to say something to oneself'. I didn't know that.
Because the only situation I heard somebody say 'think aloud' is something like this.
somebody: @#$!@)(&)@#$*)@#($#
kiyosudo: I don't really know what you are talking about.
somebody: Oh, sorry. I was thinking aloud.
Oh, boy. How dare you can say something to yourself having me in front of you?
Giving a second thought, you can use 'talking to myself' instead of 'thinking aloud', so it really means to 'talk to oneself'. That hurts me...

ああ、そうか。これって「独り言を言う」っていうことだったんだ。気が付かなかったよ。
だって、私がこの言葉を聞くシチュエーションってたいがいこんな場合だったから、
somebody: @#$!@)(&)@#$*)@#($# (意味不明)
kiyosudo: I don't really know what you are talking about. (何言ってるのか分からないよ)
somebody: Oh, sorry. I was thinking aloud. (ああ、ごめんごめん、独り言だよ(声に出して考えていたよ))
いやぁ、人を前にして「独り言を言う」かなあ。
考えてみたら、「thinking aloud」の代わりに「talking to myself」を使ってもほぼ同じ意味になるから、やっぱり独り言だったんだね。なんだかショックだ。。。
