Hi, all.

Just out of curiosity about how the commute is like today, I decided to come in. By the way, I live in Queens, so this is not because I wanted to walk across Brooklyn Bridge and shake hands with Bloomberg.

Fortunately, I live within a walking distance from Kew Gardens LIRR station. Leaving home at 6 a.m., the commute was not too bad although there was already a line of 70-80 people waiting for the train. They run the Shuttle Trains between Penn Station and Jamaica stopping the stations between; Kew Gardens, Forest Hills and Woodside. Half of the cars are dedicated for the passengers from Kew Gardens and the other half are for Forest Hills (Woodside people can get in any cars but hardly find a seat). So, although I had to wait for almost half an hour outside in 22 degrees (they limited the number of people which some people complained), it was easy to find a seat once I got in to the train. The train left Kew Gardens around 6:35 a.m. and arrived at Penn Station at 7:11 a.m. So, here I am, starting early and leaving early around 4 or 5 p.m.
